ACTIVITIES

Over the years, ASSEAN had helped with needy funds and goods-in-kind for the victims of aftermath of natural disasters such as floods, typhoons, earthquakes and tsunamis etc. like Thailand floods in 2012, Yolanda typhoon in Philippines 2013, and recently Palu Earthquake and Tsunami in Indonesia 2018.

Another thrust is also to contribute for children and women empowerment in ASEAN countries. Since 2013, ASSEAN has contributed with ‘school fees for poor children’ in Vietnam, repainting of rural school in Cambodia and back-to-school packs for poor students in Myanmar. 

SUPPORT TO FRONT LINERS DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC

2021: ASSEAN helped to raised fund to purchase High Flow Nasal Cannula and Powered Air Purifying Respirator, masks and sanitisers.

BAG TO SCHOOL FOR MYANMAR 2019

ASSEAN (SEED) donated education funds ($5,100) raised from Singapore for the orphanage project supported by the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Association (MWEA) in Yangon. This is a 5-year project in collaboration with Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Association (MWEA) to support young girls@S$20 for 5 years cycle. 

SULAWESI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND

In response to the Sulawesi Earthquake disaster 2018, a fundraising campaign to support the aftermath of the disaster. Almost S$3,000 was raised to support a Bag to School project for Palu City children.
